Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild
11 Rue Berryer, 75008 Paris
30 – 31 March, 2019
Located at the heart of the most lavish area of Paris, Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild has been recognized as a national historical monument. With more than two centuries of history, the hôtel has become a symbol of French culture, art and neoclassical architecture.
This hôtel particulier was built under the rule of Louis XVI at 11 rue Berryer in the 8th district of Paris, France. Today, when you open the doors to 11 rue Berryer, you are no longer entering the house of Balzac. In its place is a superb private hotel, with a neoclassical Haussmann façade characterised by a Parisian unique setting with a romantic garden of over 4,000 m2. The hotel is associated with the luxurious and aristocratic lifestyle during the nineteenth century.
The hôtel became the Maison des Artistes (Library of Art) in the early twentieth century, once hosting priceless collections of Baron Salomon and his wife, Adèle de Rothschild, from the Middle Ages and Renaissance of Switzerland and Germany, including pearls, art works, Oriental porcelain, weapons, all of which are now kept at the Louvre Museum and the Ecouen Museum.
Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild today is an exquisite art monument, a mixture of the modern and the classics. Stepping through the gate into the Hôtel, visitors will enter a hidden world of the Hôtel and its splendid and peaceful garden soaked in dazzling sunlight.
Distinguished guests of VGLF 2019 will have particularly unforgettable experiences in this French neoclassical mansion to meet with influential speakers from Vietnam and all over the world, as well as to discuss issues of “Brand Vietnam” to reach new heights in the development of the national brand.
