Vũ Thị Vân Anh received her Bachelor of Arts from Hanoi University, Hanoi, Vietnam (1996), her MA degree in Applied Linguistics from Latrobe University, Melbourne, Australia (2001), and a MA in Communication Studies from Utrecht University, Utrecht, the Netherlands (2007).
She has been working as an official interpreter (English-Vietnamese-English) for the European Commission in Brussels, a lecturer in Intercultural Communications and Vietnamese Language, for the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Vân Anh frequently organises workshops about Vietnamese musical and cultural activities in order to bring Vietnamese music and culture to the Dutch people. The workshops have the added benefit to help minimise the feeling of homesickness for all Vietnamese who are living and working in the Netherlands. In addition, she works as a volunteer Vietnamese language teacher for local people who would like to visit Vietnam .
