Dr. Vo Danh Hai is the Vice President of the World Martial Arts Union (WoMAU). Previously, he served as the Secretary General of Vietnam Vovinam Federation in the period of 2007-2012, and General Secretary of the World Vovinam Federation in the period of 2008-2016. In addition, he is also the Head of Southern Branch of Vietnam Sports Newspaper (General Department of Physical Education and Sports, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), the Head of the Editorial Board of electronic newspaper (vothuat.net).
He has had nearly 30 years of training, promoting and developing Vietnamese martial arts, especially international Vovinam. He is one of the influential people to the promotion of Vietnamese culture through the traditional martial art Vovinam (Viet Vo Dao) with the number of millions of disciples with more than 60 countries worldwide.
He has had many considerable contributions to the advertising, promoting and persuading the Asian Sports Council (OCA) to accept Vovinam – Vietnamese national martial arts as the official competitions in the games of Asian Indoor Asian Games III (2009), Southeast Asian SEA Games 26-2011 Games in Indonesia and 27-2013 in Myanmar.
Vo Danh Hai is a key member of the World Martial Arts Association – WoMAU from 2000 and in 2010 at the WoMAU General Assembly (held in Chungju, South Korea). He is currently a senior advisor to many martial arts federations in Vietnam such as Vietnam Taekwondo Federation, Vietnam Boxing Federation, Military Martial Arts Federation …
Mr Vo Danh Hai is also the member of Science Council of Sports Science Faculty at Ton Duc Thanh University in Ho Chi Minh City.
