Le Duc Dung, Germany

Basic Science Award from the European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT)

Le Duc Dung is a young Vietnamese scientist currently serving as the medical advisor on cancer and immunology for a pharmaceutical conglomerate in Germany.  

He spent five years working and researching as the head of an immunotherapy group at the University Hospital Wuerzburg (Germany). Throughout his career, Le Duc Dung has achieved significant success with numerous research projects, scientific publications, and awards, notably winning the prestigious "Basic Science Award" from the European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) in 2021. 

  

Drawing from his knowledge and experience in Germany, he is dedicated to contributing to the community and Vietnam in various ways. He regularly publishes articles on health, pandemic prevention, policies, education, etc., in reputable Vietnamese newspapers such as Tuoi Tre, Thanh Nien, Dan Tri, Education Vietnam, Vietnam Enterprise, etc. 

  

He is also actively involved in coordinating non-profit collaboration projects on training, technology transfer, and medical research between Germany and Vietnam, particularly focusing on improving treatment methods for blood cancer in Vietnam. A notable example is the collaboration between the Children's Hospital, University Hospital Wuerzburg, and the National Children's Hospital in Hanoi.
