Le Anh Tien, Vietnam

Le Anh Tien is one of the top 10 under-30 entrepreneurs in the Entrepreneurs To Watch 2017 list by Forbes Vietnam Magazine. He was also honored as one of the 10 Outstanding Young Faces of Vietnam in 2019 and received commendation from the Prime Minister. He won a silver medal in the 7th International Exhibition on Young Inventors (IEIY) in Vietnam and a gold medal in the international young science and technology innovation exhibition in Taiwan. Tien has developed multiple award-winning software both domestically and internationally. He has founded several community projects, including smart glasses to assist disabled individuals in computer communication through eye movements. 

  

He has received numerous awards such as the Golden Globe Awards for Science and Technology 2015, Vietnamese Talent 2011, 2015, 2016, and consecutive VIFOTEC awards from 2007 to 2012. He won the National Young Creativity Festival twice, in 2013 and 2016, and was twice awarded the Creative Youth Badge in 2015 and 2007 by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee. His scientific works and innovative solutions were published in the Vietnam Golden Book of Creativity in 2016. He became a delegate to the Global Young Intellectuals Forum in 2019. In late June 2020, he was honored as one of the 20 outstanding youths from the ASEAN region to represent nearly 220 million ASEAN youths at the 36th ASEAN High-Level Leaders' Meeting with the theme "Cohesion and Active Adaptation." 

  

Additionally, he participated as a delegate in the 10th National Patriotic Emulation Congress, the 3rd National Young Talent Congress, and the National Party Congress on January 25, 2021. 

  

In the field of entrepreneurship, he has received numerous awards such as: 

- Outstanding Young Entrepreneur 2021 

- Asia-Pacific Social Innovation Partner Award 2020 in the Inclusive Business category organized by the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs & KPMG Consulting Group 

- Top 500 Promising Global Startups of Slingshot 2020 

- Represented Vietnam in Startup World Cup 2020 held in San Francisco, USA 

- Winner of the "Innovative Entrepreneurship Talent Search 2019" competition - Techfest 2019 

- First Prize in the Entrepreneurship competition of 2018-2019 organized by Total Challenge 

- Second Prize in the "National Entrepreneurship" competition 2017 

- Top 5 in the VietChallenge competition – Global Business Idea Competition at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston, MA, USA in 2017 

- Silver medal in the Southeast Asia Business Model competition 2015 (Mekong Business Challenge) 

- First Prize in the Startup Weekend 2014 competition - Kauffman Foundation, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, New York Times, Forbes
